The First Weaver Jack was produced in 1910 - The Auto Twin Jack. However, the very first Jack patented by the Chief Inventor - Ira Weaver - was a Wagon Jack in 1899. Weavers First Hydraulic Jack was introduced in 1928. |

Weaver
Model AT Auto Twin Jacks Made as early as 1912, a patent was issued in 1914. As shown in the above Ad's, it was used to lift the complete car axle at once. It was also used in pairs to raise the Auto's Tires off the ground for winter storage. Another use was to be able to roll Automobiles around and park them in a close area to save on parking space. This was still available in the 1928 catalogue with either Steel (WA-12) or Rubber Wheels (WA-13). |

With two Jacks Fore and Aft on the Automobile It would allow
you to Test the Brakes. Many Autos of this time did not have reverse
gear - therefore the garage would use a pair of the Weaver Auto Twin
Jacks as a turntable to spin cars around. Each Jack would lift 4000 lbs
or 4 tons as a set of two. They came in Two Sizes.
Regular was a 2000 lb capacity and the Heavy Duty (34" wide) had a 4000
lb Capacity
The marking A T on the Jack stood for Auto Twin ( not Model A or T as in a Ford car) |

Weaver Model B New Way Mechanical Jack. This Weaver Jack was Manufactured beginning in 1922. The long frame allowed easy reach, and the front wheels were on a pivot and were steerable from the rear handle. Raised from 8" to 17.5" |
Weaver Model Lo-Way Mechanical Jack | ||
Weaver Lo-Way Mechanical Jack was first made in the mid 1920's. The Weaver Lo Way Jack was Manufactured up to the 1930's. This Jack was Very Popular, even though the fully hydraulic model was introduced in 1928. This jack also had steerable front wheels. The Model WA-20 Lo Way Jack only required 6" of clearance - important for those early cars with balloon tires. It was available with Steel or Rubber Wheels. Many of these Jacks are still in service to this date. |

What Jack was so popular that they made Models of it? The Weaver Lo-Way Jack was in such universal usage that this Model Kit was produced in 1:43 Scale for Model Railroad Layouts and other model enthusiasts. This Kit is still available from the The Model Co. of New Zealand. |
Weaver WA-23 Curb Jack Mechanical Jack | ||
This Jack was introduced in 1928. It had a Long Reach 54" Handle. Total length was 70". It had a quick raising mechanism for the saddle to contact the frame. This was a ratchet style jack and had a trigger style release. The Saddle could rise from 4" to 17". Commonly called a Curb Jack. Model Number WA-23 |
Weaver WA-24 Hydraulic Jack |
Weaver Model WA-24 was the first Hydraulic Jack made by Weaver. It was introduced in 1928. T It had a 6000 LB Capacity (3 Ton). It was 55.5 "Long, 16" wide, , The handle was 45 " long, & weighed 209 LBS. Later Weaver Hydraulic Jack Lines were called Lo-Hi-Draulic Jacks for a time. There was a Model with Rubber Tires called the WA-25. The range of lift was 5" to 18". This model had steerable front wheels. |
