WEAVER SAFETY LANE BROCHURE FROM 1933

Weaver trademarked the term Safety Lane IN 1932.  Safety Lanes consisted of a Brake Tester, an Alignment Tester and a Headlight Tester.  More motor vehicles have been tested on Weaver Safety Lane Equipment, than any other manufacturer in the world. WEAVER SAFETY LANE EQUIPMENT  AD FROM 1937

September 1937 Advertisement from Motor Magazine.  The State of New Jersey installed 45 sets of Weaver Safety Lane Equipment to test every vehicle in the State twice a year.  Each Installation Included a WY-75 Brake Tester,  Heavy Duty Alignment Tester and the New Electric Eye Headlight Tester.

WEAVER BROCHURE FROM 1950

Historic Occasion of the First  Public Automotive Safety Inspection in the USA at Springfield Illinois  in 1930.   During 1930 and 1931,  Public Safety Lane Inspection locations  were set up Coast to Coast in 291 different Cities.

The City of Memphis TN Installed Five  New Weaver Safety Lanes in 1950 - each Lane included a Combination Brake and Alignment Tester, plus a Headlight Tester.  The Cities first use of Weaver Safety Inspection Equipment began in 1930.

 

 

  

POPULAR MECHANIC ARTICLE FROM 1930

The December 1930 issue of Popular Mechanics Magazine featured an Article About Weaver Safety Lanes and a Nationwide Safety Campaign.
